Join our newest teacher, Sachiko, for a two-week series focused on caring for your spine and relieving pain. Week one will address the upper back and neck, while week two will focus on the lower back and hips. Throughout the series, Sachiko will offer props, modifications, and alternative options to support a wide range of bodies and needs. The spine—housed within the torso—supports healthy musculoskeletal function and plays an essential role in the wellbeing of the organs. The nervous system is deeply rooted in the spinal cord, and the condition of the spine can profoundly influence how we feel, move, and function.

COURSE: Intermediate Iyengar Yoga, 4-Week Course
Recommended 2-3 years of ongoing study with a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher.

This four-week course is designed for students ready to deepen an established Iyengar Yoga practice and move confidently toward an intermediate level. Students will build upon foundational actions and will be guided through more demanding postures in a thoughtful, methodical way. The course will emphasize the strength, mobility, stability, and clarity necessary to approach inversions, backbends, forward bends, Padmasana (Lotus Pose), and introductory arm balances. Props and variations will be used to support safe progression and intelligent learning, allowing students to work within their individual capacity while deepening understanding.
