RETREAT: Rooted in Awareness: Iyengar Yoga and Zen to Embody Your Life
All levels of yoga and meditation experience are welcome. Prior study with a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher is helpful but not required.
Through the practices of Iyengar Yoga and Zen meditation, we explore what it means to live with steadiness, clarity, and compassion. In this retreat, we will utilize alignment and awareness as gateways to presence, cultivating a body that is grounded, a mind that is quiet, and a heart that is open. Each day will include asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breath work), and zazen (sitting meditation). Together, we will investigate how these disciplines support one another, revealing the interconnection between physical stability and mental stillness. In the peaceful setting of Tassajara, surrounded by mountains and streams, we can return to the simplicity of direct experience and the refuge found in awareness itself.

RETREAT: Mexico Yoga Retreat
Revitalize yourself with a week of yoga and sunshine. At La Loma Linda Yoga Center ocean breezes, golden sand and hammocks for lounging, reading, relaxing await. La Loma Linda is a retreat center situated on Zipolite Beach on the southernmost tip of Oaxaca. The beach is one of the most beautiful on the coast. Your day begins gently – a light breakfast, perhaps a stroll on the beach and then a morning yoga class followed by lunch. The afternoon is yours to enjoy, a swim in the warm ocean or a nap in the sun. We’ll meet again for an afternoon yoga class, watch the sunset and then enjoy dinner. Ocean waves will lull you to sleep. La Loma Linda offers a beautiful well-equipped yoga room and spacious bungalows. Twice daily yoga classes taught by Athena will allow you to deepen your practice and experience the serenity that yoga has to offer. The group size will be limited to allow each participant to receive personalized attention during the classes.

WORKSHOP: New Moon: A Sound Bath for Rest & Renewal
All are welcome — no experience needed. Please bring an eye mask if you have one.
To receive credit to your Momence account, cancellations must be received 24 hours in advance of the course start time. We cannot offer refunds.
The first New Moon of the year arrives like a long, quiet exhale — a moment to pause, soften, and clear space before the next inhale carries you into what’s new. This session is an invitation to settle deeply into rest so that your intentions can rise from a place of ease, not urgency. We’ll begin with a grounding guided meditation, helping the body release its weight and the mind let go of what it has been holding. Then, through a 60-minute sound journey of crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, chimes, and gentle percussive textures, you’ll be guided into deep relaxation — the kind that makes room for clarity to emerge naturally. We’ll close with a warming herbal tea ceremony to anchor your intentions and ease you gently into the new lunar cycle.
